What is PHP?
PHP offers a higher level of treatment intensity than intensive outpatient care. It may be considered when symptoms need more support than regular office visits can provide and the person can safely return home after treatment.
How the levels of care differ
PHP generally involves more treatment time than IOP. Inpatient care includes an overnight stay and around-the-clock support. A screening helps determine whether outpatient treatment is appropriate and which level of care to consider.
